Art and decorative pieces are essential to a well dressed home for many reasons; they create a mood, add focal points of interest and express your personal style.  Keepsakes and photographs keep memories and personal history vibrant.  The right accessories enhance the theme of your home and furniture. They add layers of texture and color, which soften the hard edges of case goods and walls. 

Like jewelry, decorative accessories, can put your home on the best-dressed list.  What well dressed woman would leave home without her earrings and lipstick?  Your personal style determines if your jewelry is seashells or diamonds. What colors and elements enhance your natural beauty?  Is your lipstick crimson red, rich coral, hot pink or super sheer?  Do you prefer the warmth of gold or the coolness of platinum?  You can use similar colors and decorative elements when working with home accessories to create your individual style and a background that is flattering to you.

I encourage my clients to choose paintings and objet d’art that they find meaningful.  Over the years I have found that, more often than not, my clients want my assistance and expertise in placing their beautiful and sentimental collections and to build around them with complementary pieces.

In addition to being a licensed Interior Designer; I have a degree in Psychology.  I love to get to know people and to help them to express their personalities and those of their family in their homes.

Let’s start by establishing a mood and personality for your home with a few questions about who you are:

• Think about your personality, for example are you a golfer, a beach girl, an athlete, a bookworm, a grand hostess or does it depend on what time of day it is? 
• Are you sophisticated or casual?  Do you wear your hair beautifully coiffed or does it blow freely in the wind?  Or do you change your style like a chameleon to suit the many facets of your personality?
• What colors make you blossom?

Now, let’s decide on a style, here are some ideas:

• Florida Traditional.  Do you want that Palm Beach, old money look?  Palm trees, blue skies and ages old celadon lamps and crystal chandeliers?
• Tropical Paradise.  Do you like teak, rattan, bamboo, banana leaves and cocktails on the patio?  Would you like to bring the natural beauty of Florida right into your home? 
• Coastal and Casual.  Crisp colors, linen and painted furniture. Whimsical, light hearted and fun.  When you’re in Florida you’re on vacation and so are your guests. 
• Florida with a European Influence.  Do you like wrought iron, granite and rich colors?  Do you love oversized mirrors with heavy carving? Does the sight of ormalu leave you breathless?
  

Of course, if you are a multi faceted individual or have a large home we can combine styles.  We just need to create that proper balance and flow so that each area leads comfortably into the next.

How my service works for you:
In general, I need about an hour and a half of your time.  My fee is 150.00 per hour.  I will ask you a variety of questions to help you determine the theme, mood and color scheme that you would like to create in your home.  I take digital photos and measure areas such as shelves and mantels.  Based on the information I gather, including a budget that is comfortable for you, I order the decorative pieces that I think will create the look and mood you would love.  My staff and I bring the accessories over and spend time and care placing them to their best advantage.  What you love stays in your home, what you don’t love goes back and you receive a refund check for those items or a credit towards purchasing additional items to replace them.  I have a wealth of exceptional sources at my fingertips and will find the right pieces for your home.
